Paprika

Paprika is the sort of movie that changes concepts, ideas, and influences movies, books, and revolutions. Yea, you might thing that whole last statement is a hyperbole BUT you haven't seen this movie. Both engaging and enchanting , this movie, enter the subconscience into the dream world and sustains the "Alice in Wonderland" theme of stream of conscience. Of course, no matter how good the themes of love, attachement, past, future, desires, and alter egos are, it is a bit confusing to follow. It truly is a classic anime movie though, from it's oddities to its animation. The turn of events are wild and there's no way a first time viewer would be able to GUESS what's coming next.

The film's theme, like i previously stated is based of dreams. The main character is one of the best scientist at lab where her and and her partners, are developing technology to examine and share dreams. Not just for the fun of dream surfing though. The makers want to use it to solve mysteries and the physiological problems of the misfortunate. It all starts out in an officers dream, he's been trying to figure out what's been bothering him so much and Paprika was there to help. It later turns out that someone has gone missing due to the dream devices doing. In fact, more and more people who had been working on the mechanism were acting as if being touched with lunacy and deliberately endangering themselves. Paprika and her crew have to be on there way to figure out what's going on and stop it. But they were dealing with in cohesive imagination, objects lacking all sense, parades on march battling someone on the inside wanting to do them in with his perverted tactics. The climax and conclusion will not allow you to walk away from the movie, maybe because it's so darn weird, maybe because it's so darn good. Whatever the reason, you better finish watching this movie, then get back to my page and tell me how you liked it. :D

Thank you very much. It is very much like the idea of "Inception". You know, the dream world and sharing dreams with other people. In the movie and doesn't have the same seriousness as "Inception", in fact Paprika faces a whole new challenge. Paprika is actually part of another person in a very real sense. Like an alternate ego. i'll make a full review a bit later. thanks for the comments.
